Contemporary Education

It is becoming more critical that schools have facilities that are both flexible and multi-functional to deliver current and future curricular needs in education. Our role as the architect is to ensure the incorporation of this philosophy within the project design.

The emphasis on Resource Based Learning is relevant to all primary and secondary schools. The ability to have all available resources and facilities readily available to all students and staff is essential if the school is to give every student the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential. As technology improves and changes, access to information technology for all students is imperative and applies to all disciplines of learning, from the sciences to the arts and humanities.

The concept of classroom teaching is dramatically expanded by the potential provided by the flexible use of facilities, capable of catering for individuals, plus small and large groups. Inclusive education is another important area that enables individual students to realise their fullest potential, and assists in the identification and development of special talents.

Paul Campbell Architects believe that the delivery of thoughtful, dynamic and practical design solutions for schools helps to enhance the learning experience for both students and staff.
